A Love That Found Its Way And Came Home to Celebrate
Some love stories don't begin with fireworks. Suchita and Jay were introduced by their parents and felt absolutely nothing. No spark, no instant connection, just two polite Maharashtrian families sitting across from each other hoping for the best. They parted ways. And then, thousands of miles later, they ran into each other in the US. This time, it was different. Two people who had dismissed the idea of each other slowly discovered they were exactly what the other needed. When it was time to celebrate, there was only one place that felt right, India. Not just for the family, but for themselves. To come home, honour their roots, and get married the Maharashtrian way. Evara, a trusted wedding planner in Delhi NCR, was proud to bring their 3-day, 5-function celebration to life at the stunning Bhandari Resort, Indore.
Day 1 — Mehendi
The celebrations kicked off with a vibrant Mehendi evening, intricate henna, bright colours, and the kind of laughter that only a house full of family can bring.
Day II — Haldi Carnival & Sangeet
The next morning, the Haldi Carnival turned the energy all the way up. Designed to be anything but ordinary, this carnival themed function gave guests a joyful, playful morning drenched in turmeric and tradition, a perfect Evara touch that blended festivity with function. The second evening belonged to music, dance, and pure emotion. The Sangeet at Bhandari Resort came alive with performances from both families, stories told through song, and décor that set the mood beautifully. For Suchita and Jay who had lived far from home for years this night was a reminder of everything they had come back for.
Day 3 — The Wedding & The Moment Everyone's Talking About
The wedding day was a traditional Maharashtrian ceremony, full of colour, ritual, and meaning. But the moment that stole every heart? The Antarapat drop. As the cloth between the bride and groom fell away and their eyes met for the first time as husband and wife-to-be, the emotion in the room was overwhelming. It was everything a Maharashtrian wedding moment should be raw, beautiful, and completely unforgettable.
That evening, the celebrations drew to a close with an elegant Reception, where the newlyweds stepped into the night as husband and wife, surrounded by everyone they love.
“We almost missed each other. But standing at that Antarapat, every moment that led us here felt perfectly planned — by life, and by Evara.”
