A Goa Fling, A Flight Ticket, and Forever in the Hills
A criminal psychologist and an Indian Air Force pilot. One swiped right in Goa. Neither of them saw it coming. Muskan and Arunabha met on Tinder during what was supposed to be a holiday sun, sea, and no strings attached. But somewhere between the beaches and the sunsets, something shifted. They parted ways, went back to their lives, and tried to forget about it. Then one ordinary day, Arunabha booked Muskan a flight from Goa to Mumbai not for any occasion, not with a grand plan, just because he wanted to see her. That was the moment they both knew. What followed were years of a relationship that wasn't always easy. Two demanding careers, distance, and two very different families. Muskan's Punjabi household and Arunabha's Bengali family, all had to find common ground. There were obstacles, conversations, and moments of doubt. But love, stubborn and certain, won. On 13th April, Evara helped them celebrate that win in the most spectacular way, a 3-day wedding at the iconic Woodville Palace Hotel, Shimla, a heritage property that has stood since 1938, the most romantic wedding backdrop in the Himalayas.
Day 1: Cocktail Night: Where Two Worlds Toasted as One
The celebrations opened with an elegant Cocktail evening, set against the golden glow of Woodville's heritage interiors. Punjabi warmth and Bengali grace filled the room as two families once uncertain, now united raised a glass to the couple that made it all possible.
Day 2: Haldi, Mehndi & Sangeet: Three Functions, One Unforgettable Day
Day two was a full celebration from morning to midnight. The Haldi began with sunshine and laughter, turmeric-dusted and beautifully chaotic, exactly as it should be. The Mehndi that followed was intimate and joyful, with intricate patterns telling the story of two people who had chosen each other despite everything. As evening fell, the Sangeet lit up Woodville Palace with music and dance from both families, Bollywood meets Rabindra Sangeet, and it was glorious.
Day 3: Love, Finally, Without Any Battles Left to Fight
The morning of 13th April arrived cold, clear, and breathtakingly beautiful. Nestled in 4 acres of deodar scented greenery with the Himalayas as a backdrop, Woodville Palace felt like a setting written specifically for this couple. The wedding was intimate, emotional, and deeply personal, a ceremony that honoured both the Punjabi and Bengali traditions with equal love and care. After years of complications, distance, and family negotiations, watching Muskan and Arunabha finally stand together felt like a quiet triumph.
